Alissa Michelle Rempel

She will be remembered and missed by her husband Timothy Rempel; son Hunter Rempel; parents Robert and Marilyn Sigouin; brother Ryan (Jodie) Sigouin; grandparents Martin and Greta Berends; Donat and Marie Sigouin; father and mother-in-law Timothy and Flo Rempel; sister-in-law’s Stephanie (Aaron) Trickett and Julie Rempel; niece Lilah Trickett; nephew Declan Trickett; her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Born May 22, 1984 in Powell River, BC Alissa pursued a career in health care, obtaining her B Sc. from the University of the Fraser Valley. After graduation Alissa went on to a successful career as a Registered Nurse with the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. On August 30, 2013 Alissa was married to Tim and the couple welcomed Hunter into their lives on May 17, 2014 ahead of schedule due to Alissa’s diagnosis.

Her faith, strength and courage helped her rise to all the challenges she faced and she was surrounded with love, from all her family and friends.

Alissa’s devotion to her family and her passion for caring for others has always and will continue to be an inspiration to all that were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:30 am at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Alissa can be made to Holmberg House Hospice or the BC Cancer Agency.
