She is still living in Scotland. He is predeceased by his brothers Dan, Tom and Jim and his sisters Maggie, Mona, Mary, Betty and Isobel.Archie was a man whose thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. He worked and studied hard for his Police Exams and any of life’s challenges. He was always quick and correct when put to the question. He had a larger than life personality and was always the life of the party. He had numerous friends and went out of his way to make sure that they or anybody around him was entertained and well looked after. He had an everlasting love for fishing and flytying and often pursued his passion with friends and family alike, willing to pass on his intimate knowledge to whoever would require it.Above all else, Archie was a devoted and loving husband and father to his family. Always willing to do whatever it took to see that they were well taken care of. He liked to show his love in various ways including family vacations, fishing trips and huge family BBQ’s. He had a big heart at Christmas the likes of which would make Charles Dickens proud. He always found ways to encourage and teach his children and help them whenever they needed him.Over his lifetime he had many pets and he loved them all, but one remains a standout. His best friend Taro was his buddy for only 12 short years but those years were filled with love, admiration, adventure and a friendship that should go down in the ages as a man that loved his dog and a god that truly loved his master. We all love and miss you Archie. You have touched us all with your love, friendship and guidance over the years. We would all like to think that you are sitting at your table with your flytying vice out, your fishing hat on and your good buddy Taro laying at your feet patiently waiting for your true love Dorothy to join you!Arrangements under the direction of Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, Abbotsford, BC.
