She leaves behind her loving husband, Milt Blackburn, her sister, Joan Mumford (Greg) her nephew Kevin (Alison), their two boys Aaron and Russell and her nephew Derek (Kristin), their daughter Avery and their son Jacob.
Carol grew up in Abbotsford and after graduating high school went to U.B.C. and received her Bachelor of Education degree. After teaching for a few years in Delta, B.C., Carol moved to Vancouver where Milt and Carol ran a successful collector paper money business. Carol was an accomplished pianist and graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She played the organ at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Abbotsford for many years. She loved attending many classical music concerts at the Vancouver Symphony. She also loved travelling and together she and Milt went on many exciting trips to Europe, Hawaii and Australia.
Carol will be missed by all her family and her many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
