David will be forever remembered for his love and kindness by his: children Johnathan (Kimberly) and Christopher (Helen); grandchildren Samantha (Chris), Stephanie (Duncan), Matthew and Nicholas; and, sister Margaret and family in England.
Born in Lancaster England, David emigrated to Powell River in British Columbia, Canada with his wife Sybil in 1968 for adventure. A joiner by training, he dutifully supported his family as a pulp machine worker for the Powell River Company (later to become MacMillan Bloedel Ltd), owner/operator of a handyman store (back in Blackpool England for a time), a ditch digger for the corporation of Richmond, a milkman for Dairyland, owner/operator of a cleaner, a shipper for Conair.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 24 at 3:00 pm at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.
