He will be lovingly remembered by his children Allan, Sandy (Denis), Ian (Shannon) & Joan. His sister Avis (Al), 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins and many dear friends.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Freda (2005).
Donald had a wonderful & varied career starting on CP ships as a teenager; was with Northland Navigation in Kitimat, B.C. for many enjoyable years before moving on to the Ministry of Transport in Prince George; then Burnaby until his retirement. Donald enjoyed his life to the fullest and his wonderful stories will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 2010 Guilford Drive, Abbotsford. Online condolences may be given at www.woodlawnfh-abbotsford.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Matthews Memorial Garden Fund.
