Frances Mary Jones

Frances was born in Dublin to Frank and Elizabeth Morrison. In 1960, she married Daniel Jones, of Cork, and moved with him to England where they raised their family. In 1981, the family emigrated to Vancouver, Canada. Frances was a life-long, faithful member of the Church; she experienced much joy in life as a member of the fraternity of the ecclesial movement Communion and Liberation, and for many years, through her work in the Legion of Mary, she loved visiting the homeless on the Downtown East-side of Vancouver. Frances will be remembered for her great love for her family and friends, her wise counsel, exceptional generosity, and great wit. Frances will also be lovingly remembered as a great prayer warrior. With her rosary constantly in her hands, she prayed rosary after rosary for the world and for her much-loved family and friends. Frances is survived by her children, Mary, Michael (Franca), Christine (Jason), Stephen, Dana (Mattias); her grandchildren Nicholas, Lucy, Gianna, Adrianna, Angelica, Isabel, Jacinta, Adrian, Kieran, Josef, Dominic, and Ruth; her great-grandchildren Ivan, Davey, Eve, Ronan, Malachy, Rose, and Róisín; her brother Bernard and his wife Anne and family; and all her relatives and friends near and far.

Frances’ funeral mass will take place at St James’ Catholic Church, Abbotsford, at 1pm on Monday, August 29; burial will take place directly afterwards at the Hatzic cemetery.
