Dear Kim,
Although I was not a regular member of your Dad's church in North Vancouver, I visited quite often. I have vivid and highly cherished memories of a powerful and passionate teacher of the Word of God. I learned so much from every sermon, and I sensed a special anointing while in the presence of your Dad and that special little church group! What a gem. Our Lord touched many through Pastor George, and I will always feel the richer for having received prayer from your Dad. May God bless your heart radically, Kim. Please give my deepest condolences to your Mom and family. I lift my hands in Praise to the Father that Pastor George has arrived safely home! Love, Colleen.

Our deepest sympathy to Shirley and the family in the lost of our cousin Rev. George.  We have wonderful memories of him and especially enjoyed getting together when we were out west a number of years ago.  He will be missed but now he is not suffering.  Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I had to let you kow what an impact your husband, father, grandfather had on my life.

I had just gotten saved (back in 1986) and began attending New Life Christian Center in North Vancouver.
George was instrumental in showing me the love and compassion of Jesus. He was such a gentle, kind man.
I truly saw Jesus in George Tanner, what a wonderful ambassador for Christ he was.

Kim,
It is with deep regret that I send this message of condolences to both you, your Mother and the rest of your family.   I know that you will all greatly miss your Dad.  May God go with you all.

Dad will be greatly missed, but in many ways I am thankful that his suffering is over.  Dad's passing has given me a new perspective on the term "rest in peace".  He fought a hard battle with his health right up until his final days.  I am, and will forever be proud of my father.
