February 24 1947 ~ April 28th 2011
Born February 24 , 1947 in Chak, India. The oldest of 6 children and only brother. Joginder was a very bright boy and did very well in school. Although bright his obligations led him to start working at the age of 13 with his father. By age 15 he had quit school to work full time to support the family. His mother passed away at this time as well. He adored his mother and kept a solemn promise to take care of his sisters. He lifted his family out of poverty with hard work perseverance and intellect. His father was a hard worker but Joginder had a gift of hard work and intellect that lead him to be the head of the family in his teens. Eventually marrying at the age of 19 he had a son in 1970 which drove him to seek more prosperity in Canada. In 1972 his 2nd child was born -a daughter.
His early years in Canada were difficult but one faithful day in 1974 he visited the PNE only to win the PNE DREAM HOME. A gift from GOD he would say. This catapulted his family out of India to Canada.
He eventually sold this dream home for his farm in 1977 which he still has today and is the BUBRA NAVAS. His hard work on the farm along with his wife allowed him to bring 3 sisters to Canada as well as other relatives.
He truly gave his gift of fortune to others, as long as he did he felt GOD would provide for him even more.
He made many friends throughout his years, a tireless worker and willing to help, friends were easy to make.
His gift to his own children was that of education. He did not pursue hundreds of acres or money. He wanted his children to have a better life than him. He did not want them to farm. His 4 children all have dual university degrees with 2 as doctors.
His most recent pride and joy are his 2 grandsons. He felt proud as they are smart and handsome, he felt they would never have to worry they will always be prosperous. He was very proud of what point he has brought his family. However he was tired, his body sore but his mind was unstoppable hence he passed keeping himself busy trying to finish one last thing he had on his list for the day.
We love you Dad, time to finally take a break.
