She is survived by her son, Jasper (Wendy); 3 grandchildren, Michael (Gemely), Matthew (Tara), and Kimberley (Andrew) Quin; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Karel.
Karel and Joan ran the Triple V Art & Antiques Gallery in the Abbotsford Community for many years. She was a long-time teacher and a prolific artist. Joan was a thoughtful and kind person and will be missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at 11:00 am at Elim Village, Harrison Building, 9025-160 Street, Surrey, BC.
