Maria Schmidt, late of Abbotsford, passed away on Nov. 9, 2011 at age 86 yrs. She is predeceased by her husband Peter on Oct. 27, 2003 and an infant son, Helmut. She is survived by her children Herb (Erna) Schmidt, Erika (Pierre) van der Horst, and Harry (Sherri) Schmidt; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and extended families.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Interment will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 16 at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial Service will be held at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford that same afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
