Monika was a loving wife, daughter, sister, auntie, teacher and friend. She will be remembered by her husband, Kris Wiebe, and by her large family (Robinsons, Wiebes, Goldschmidts, Millers and Langs) and many extended family and friends.
Monika was born in Abbotsford on November 8, 1980, to Sean and Sieglinde Robinson and was one of six siblings. Her younger years were spent working in the greenhouse, tending to the sheep, and loved mothering her younger siblings. Monika had many fond memories spending time with her Oma and Opa Tabert and Grandma and Grandpa Robinson.
After graduating from CTC, she worked hard to become a dedicated preschool teacher at Wind & Tide. She loved working with kids and was herself a kid at heart.
Monika made everyone laugh with her silly jokes, quirky one liners and epic rap sing-a-longs. She loved to tease her family members but was also quick to give an encouraging word. She made every time together memorable.
She married the love of her life Kris in 2013. Kris and Monika were best friends and inseparable. Together they loved trips to Disneyland, Maui, Phoenix, Summerland and Little Shuswap. She enjoyed going for drives to Fort Langley and White Rock with Kris and watching Canucks games. She loved collecting Jellycats and made weekly visits to Toy Traders.
Monika loved spending time with family, going on shopping trips to Vancouver, painting, playing violin, and sneaking candy.
She loved Jesus and loved others easily and unconditionally. Monika’s faith was a vital part of her life and gave her great courage, strength and joy; the Lord was her Good Shepherd. Because of God's love that flowed through her, Monika's impact will live on and bless others.
She was our starlight.
