Pearl was born to John and Lydia Wutzke on June 23, 1932, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Pearl spent much of her younger years in Skiff, Alberta attending school, helping on the farm and helping her mother with household chores. Pearl discovered book-keeping later in her school years and realized that she enjoyed working with numbers. Pearl attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta in 1950. After finishing Bible school Pearl moved to Lethbridge, Alberta where she worked at the Catelli Macaroni Factory. She was able to move into bookkeeping which was the start of her bookkeeping career.
Pearl moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan where she immediately found a church to attend and a choir to sing in. She noticed a deep bass voice in the choir that belonged to her future husband, Calvin Regier. Pearl and Calvin were married in Skiff, Alberta on June 22, 1955. Their adopted family started growing in Wendell, Lori and Teresa. During their early years Pearl took care of the children and the home. Pearl always baked homemade bread, cinnamon buns and shortbread cookies. Moving to different areas of Alberta became routine. Although Pearl was shy, she was always able to make friends and participate in church and community activities. Pearl retired in June of 2002 after Calvin experienced a stroke. She had worked as a bookkeeper through-out most her life. Calvin passed away on January 9, 2010.
Pearl gave her life to Christ privately when she was 8 years old after some Special Meetings in Skiff, Alberta. Pearl decided early in life that Christianity was important to her, Calvin and her family. Pearl actively participated by singing in numerous choirs, working on the church greeting team and ESL coffee team, as well as the Good Friends Executive to name a few. Pearl understood that not all people were as blessed as her. Helping with the Salvation Army Christmas Kettles was one of many ways she was able to help others.
Pearl was pre-deceased by her parents John and Lydia Wutzke, sisters Lillian, Janette, and brother Bryan. Pearl is survived by her sister Marilyn (Gary), and brothers Garry (Marg), Melton (Ethel) and Richard, and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl is survived by her children Wendell Regier (Tobi), Lori Hunter, and Teresa Stobe (Darci) as well as grandchildren Jamie Hunter, Chelsey Hunter (Chad), Chloe Stobbe, Nicolas Stobbe (Holly), Jaxson Stobbe, Jesse Regier (Laura) and Madeline McKinley (Austin), and great grandchildren Christopher and Parker Bracken as well as Hugo and Phoebe McKinley.
