The family announces with sorrow his death in Abbotsford, Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the age of 76. Son of the late Stanislaus and Eva (nee Trepanier) Larcher. Beloved husband of Ghislaine (nee Bigras) Larcher of Abbotsford. Loving father of Vivianne Frostt (Alan) from Calgary, Alberta and Charmaine Chretien (Luc) from Fort St. John, BC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Claude, Roland, Gerald, and his sisters Yollande Gervais, Rollande Pitura and Aline Pigeau.
Raymond moved from Ontario in his early teens and established his career in the construction industry. He was very well respected due to his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade. Raymond will be remembered for his sense of humour and quick wit and most importantly his kind heart. He enjoyed watching sports, debating politics and story telling. He had much joy spending time with family both in BC and Ontario. Raymond leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, compassion and integrity. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Despite being very ill over the past years, Raymond was always more concerned about the wellness of others rather than his own health challenges. It is this selflessness that will be remembered and cherished. After a long struggle with his health, Raymond is finally at peace.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Friday 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave, Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
