He grew into the family business of logging and farming. Later he became involved with the manufacturing of his father’s invention of the XO Kleen Gun.
Ron was led into the ministry after receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that came with a vision of a wheat field with black clouds and a storm coming, & a knowing that the wheat would be lost. In the vision the wheat kernels came up close to his face with little faces and arms reaching out. Being concerned for the storm on the way, God told Ron to reap the harvest, to have faith and be ready for what God has for him, as He is in control. He was then called into ministry of song in the tent crusades, churches and later on, television. What started as Ron’s songs of faith while plowing the field, soon became a ministry in God’s greatest harvest of all.
In 1964, Ron married Robin Korpi and they had a son, Brad, and a daughter, Cherie. Ron was a creatively devoted father, & provided a unique side of humor to life, while also providing wisdom, realism and faith. Ron’s artistic skills extended beyond music into writing, drawing and many other facets. He worked in carpentry and as an electrician for many years. The family separated and Ron returned to Canada.
In 1991, Ron met and married Deb Harper and together they fulfilled their dreams with a common interest in love for horses and animals. They lived together for 33 years in the Fraser Valley.
