Anna Mae Hertrick

Ann Hertrick, 83, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011, in Florida. Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3:00p.m. at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David McLauchlan officiating under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd. St. Burial will be at Tye Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born to Edward and Margaret Murdoch Wittman on June 11, 1928 in Pittsburg, PA. She attended schools in Pittsburg and married Harold Gilbert Hertrick, Jr. on April 13, 1948. They moved to Abilene in 1970 and he passed away on March 26, 1996.

Ann worked in the restaurant business as a cook and waitress. She retired from K-Mart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Florence Malarkey.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth, Harold, Frank and Richard Hertrick; four daughters, Darlene Brooks, Linda Montgomery, Barbara Smith and Alice Gates; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hill, Harold Hertrick, Kenneth Hertrick, Manuel Beltran, Dee Mangum, and Jose Escamilla.
