Arthur Hughes, 70, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012. The son of the late Arthur and Margaret Haight Hughes, Arthur was born in Newburgh, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Arthur was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Hughes of Abilene; son, Art Hughes, Jr. and wife Trudy of Satellite Beach, Florida; two daughters, Jennifer LaBrie and husband Greg of Abilene, and Kim Hervey and husband Tracy of Tucson, Arizona; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory St., Abilene, TX 79601.
Arrangements were handled by Community Memorial Funeral Home.
