Benny Diaz

Benny Diaz, 56, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel of Memories. Burial is scheduled at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Rd., Abilene, at 2:00 p.m.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Amado R. and Mary Ellen Diaz.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah (Staggs) Diaz; son, Christopher Clifton, his wife Carissa, and their children, Koran, Khole, and Elijah; daughter, Crystal Lindsey, her husband, Thomas, and their children, Jonathon and Lillana; daughter, Christina Diaz; brothers, Armando, Richard, Jesse, and Ramon Diaz; and a sister, Gloria Strode.

He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please buy a toy and donate to Toys for Tots in his memory.
