Betty Marie Staton Moore

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Tye Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Tye Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Betty was born March 10, 1942 in Snyder, Texas to Roy and Ada Staton. She married Bufford Eugene Moore on October 20, 1961 in Snyder, Texas. Betty was a member of Tye Baptist Church. She cherished her job working with the elderly delivering meals to them. Betty loved traveling on trips with her family. She was a wonderful person loved by many people including her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, and other family members.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Roy Staton (December 1998) and beloved in-laws, Pat and Inez Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Moore of Tye; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Deborah Moore of Arvada, Colorado; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Bobby Rothwell of Arlington; four grandchildren, Cody and Kelsey Rothwell of Arlington; Garrett and Grant Moore of Colorado; her mother, Ada L. Staton of Snyder; two brothers, Dean Staton and wife, Annette, and Bobby Staton and wife, Rita, all of Snyder; her sister, Linda Williams and husband, Eddie, of Snyder; her brother-in-law, Billy Moore and wife, Charlene, of Arlington; her sister-in-law, Dona Griffith of Tye; and numerous nieces and nephews.
