

Funeral services will be at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013, in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. with Cody Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Hawley Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Billy was born on September 10, 1924 in Stamford, TX to the late Adrain Dredman Hallmark and Badie Reed Ponder.
Billy served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He owned and operated Big Country Reclamation Plant and a backhoe and dump truck service. Billy was also a heavy equipment operator in the oil field. He loved to vacation, travel, spending time with his family and friends, and he was an avid fisherman. Billy was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Anson.
Billy and his wife, Doris had just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in August of this year.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Dall and Delmer Hallmark; and a sister, Gaynell Briggs.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Hallmark of Anson; three daughters, Donna Willis and husband, Ron of Abilene, Brenda Kiker of Anson, and Marsha Smith and husband, Tom of Abilene; a brother, Ronald Hallmark and wife, Shiela of Moran, TX; a sister, Geneva Watts and husband, Harold of Winnsboro, TX; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
