

Bobby Jean “Bob” Daniel, 74, of Abilene, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas, with her family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Broadview West Baptist Church 6502, Military Dr, Abilene, Texas, with Pastor Renae Ervine officiating. Interment will follow at Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan, Texas. The family will receive friends and family Friday, October 1, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Elliott-Hamil Funeral 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
Bobby was born January 3, 1947, Perry, Texas (Falls County), to Sullivan Daniel Sr., and Clara Mae Ceasar-Daniel which was one of nineteen children. She worked many years at the Hamlin Child Care Center where she was instrumental in raising many children in the community. In addition to working at the Child Care Center she provided care for many children in her home and worked as a self-trained beautician. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church Hamlin, Texas. Bob or “Granny Bob” spent many hours serving others, listen to gospel music and supporting her children and grandchildren during their sporting events. She loved to brag about her grandchildren and their success in sports. Every time one of them would walk into the room she “always” told them how proud she was of their success and how much she loved them.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters: Dave (Melissa) of Abilene, Texas, David (Christi) Bryan, Texas, Fayedra (Kelly) San Antonio, Texas, and Jonetta, Abilene, Texas. She has fourteen grandchildren: Devin, Hayli (Tyler), Carlee (Walker), Namen, Dillon, Ke’Aira, Iverson, Malachi, Anayah, McKynzi, Kelly Jr., Karter, Kymbre, Kyrie and one great-grandson: Teague. She has three sisters: Mae Ellen “Lucy” Daniel, Lillie Mae Daniel, and Vernell “Boobie” Jones. She has two brothers: Jimmy Lee “Ice Cold” Daniel and Willie Lee Daniel. Five nieces who have been by her side through this journey: Latonya Daniel (Rodney), Barbara Daniel, Cynthia Gore, Lisa Baldwin (Rick) and Jackie Gardner (Edward), Five children she cared for and loved like her own: Christopher Hooper, Madeline Daniel, Jacquelin Daniel, Antoinette Johnson, Marcus Williams, and Tony Williams. Brother-in-law Jerry Wayne Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sullivan and Clara Mae, nine brothers, Sullivan “SD” Daniel Jr., Jerry “JD” Daniel, Leon “Doc” Daniel, Ou Picken, Albert Morris Daniel, Jodie Anderson, Hayward Daniel, Ora Lee Gunn, Tom Degrate, and Marc Degrate: four sisters Ossie “OC” Huitt, Ester Pearl Daniel, Mary Louise Suiter and her nephews Samuel Deon Daniel, Robert Lee Huitt, John “Sonny Boy” Huitt, and Deke Huitt.
