Born on July 25, 1963, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Chris spent his formative years there before embarking on a distinguished 30-year career in the United States Air Force. Chris entered the Air Force on October 23, 1981. His service saw him stationed at various bases around the world, including RAF Greenham Common, UK; Tyndall AFB, Florida; Lakenheath AFB, UK; Ramstein AFB, Germany; Aviano AFB, Italy; and finally, Dyess AFB, Texas. Chris retired from the Air Force on October 31, 2011, but not before earning himself the highest enlisted rank in the United States Air Force, Chief Master Sergeant.
Following his military career, Chris spent four years in Qatar continuing his work in munitions as a military contractor. Chris also remained active in his community, supporting the Chiefs group at Dyess AFB. He cherished his time with family playing card games like CAD and attending all of his grandchildren's events. From soccer, to football, baseball, basketball, choir events and orchestra concerts, he was always there. Chris' early years were also marked by a passion for hunting with his dad and brother Roland. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies, embodying the spirit of a true sports fanatic.
Chris was known for his kind, friendly, and outgoing personality. A goofy yet respectable leader, he was revered by many as a hardworking individual who never met a stranger. His legacy as a great son, brother, father, grandfather, and husband lives on through his family, who remember him as someone who would do anything for his loved ones.
Chris is survived by his wife, Joan McCullough; daughters, Sherry Russ, Christen McCullough her significant other Keke Balanciere, and Jennifer McCullough; son, Eric McCullough and wife Bailey; grandchildren, Morgan Sensat, Zaire, Caden, and Hezekiah Balanciere, Grayson McCullough, Avery Zapata, and Rylee McCullough; sisters, Luan Sitzman and family, Jane Olley and family; and brother, Roland McCullough and family.
