

Clara H. Aguilar, 76, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at a local nursing center. A visitation is scheduled for 5:00p.m., today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory with a Rosary beginning at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Clara was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 16, 1935 to Ludwig and Josephine Boshold Kohlndorfer. She received her BSN at DePaul University in Chicago and was a registered nurse there in Chicago for four years and also at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene for six years.
Clara was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church where she served on the Bereavement Meal Committee, Eucharistic Ministers, and Daughters of Mary as well as being a member of Rose Park Senior Citizens and Sears Senior Citizens.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister; one brother; her first husband Lawrence Heitlage; two sons Steven Heitlage and Lawrence W. Heitlage.
Survivors include her husband Tomas M. Aguilar of Abilene; two sons James Heitlage and wife Carol of Michigan and Raymond Heitlage and wife Gail of Indiana; two daughters Margaret Blough and husband Glenn of Chicago and Laura Kawula and husband John of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Clara was a friend to many.
