

Clarence Lee "Hoss" Cartwright, Jr., 63, died Sunday, January 17th, 2010 at a local medical center. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, January 22, 2010 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories. Ezequiel Pecina will conduct the services.Clarence Lee "Hoss" Cartwright, Jr. was born January 13, 1947 in Welch, West Virginia, the son of Clarence Lee Cartwright, Sr. and Annie (Atkins) Cartwright. He was raised and attended schools in West Virginia and joined the U.S. Air Force on November 8, 1965. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, retiring January 31, 1991. After leaving the Air Force he enjoyed being a truck driver for ten years for Warner Enterprises. He was a Christian and a constant strength to his family, providing a guiding hand to those he loved.Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Betty Willis, and brother, Jimmy Cartwright. Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Brandi Cartwright and Angel Dominguez of Abilene; two grandsons, Aaron Phillips and Alexander Strevel, both of Abilene; three sisters, Carolyn Fisher of California, Sharon Daniels and Sarah Southern, both of W. Virginia; and brother, Danny Cartwright of N. Carolina.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 209 S.
