Clarence Lavern Cox

Graveside services will be held at 10:00a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Penns officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene. Visitation will be Monday, August 12, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Clarence was born on November 20, 1945 to Louis Cox and May Bell Toines in Brazos County, TX. He moved to the Abilene area in 1976 from Bryan, TX. Clarence was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Abilene.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Helen King.

Survivors include his sisters, Dannie Harper of Abilene and Shirley Nowlin and husband, Charles of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.
