

Donald "Kent" Pittman, age 64, of Rising Star, Texas passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, in Abilene, Texas. He was born in December of 1956 to Darwin and Connie Pittman, in Rankin, Texas. He grew up in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School. Kent continued to work and manage ranches in the West Texas area. He had a wide range of skills from "Cowboying" to guiding hunts. He judged rodeos and bull riding competitions. He built strong bonds and made many friends in the business.
He married Martine Reed and they moved to central Texas. There, they began their adventures of 26 years. Together, the couple started Trebark Construction. Kent was able to enjoy many of his passions here. He loved "trading" and "getting a deal"! He loved roping and most of all, checking his cattle and horses. He loved a good horse and good cows. He held a reputation as a good cowboy and "Country Vet". Kent was a gentleman and a true cowboy at heart.
He is survived by his wife, Martine, of the home, his children; Kent Pittman of Odessa, TX, Holly Teal of Mansfield, TX, Max Flippin and wife Andrea of Waxahachie, TX, and Michael Flippin of Santa Fe, TX. , grandchildren; Tyler, Brylan, Jesslyn, Everett, Jake and Kyle, a great-granddaughter Milana, brother Duane Pittman, and sisters, Janie Lowe, Connie Smithee and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Second Chance Cowboy Church, 9005 TX Hwy 36, Clyde, TX 79510.
