

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, 5701 Highway 277 S., Abilene, with Phyllis Grubbs officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Tuesday at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico, TX and will visit one hour prior to the graveside service in Abilene on Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.
Frances was born on June 13, 1925 to the late O.O. Eatmon and Grace Fry Eatmon in Pauls Valley, OK. She graduated from high school in Arkansas City, Kansas and was a member of the High School Girls Club. Frances lived in Arkansas City for many years and raised her family there. She met with her pals in the close community and had lunches and dinners with them often. She worked in the Tennessee Legislature for two years and was a church secretary for ten years. Frances took care of the elderly in her community and was a dedicated mother to her twin daughters. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clyde F. Lane; one brother, Thomas Eatmon; and one sister, June Kerr.
Survivors include her twin daughters, Cyd Lane of Hico and Leslie Lane of Abilene; her good friend, Pam Records; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hico Care Center, 712 Railroad Ave., Hico, TX 76457.
