On February 8, 2026, Fred Allen Stokes Jr., 58, of Abilene, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord. He was joyfully welcomed into eternal peace and reunited with his beloved parents, Fred B. Stokes, Sr. and Benita O. Stokes, who preceded him in death.
Fred leaves behind a legacy of love through his cherished family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Gracie Ann Stokes, and his six beloved children, Alyssa Paulino, Mariah Stokes, Fred Stokes III, Alexis Stokes, Nicoa Stokes, and Xavier Stokes. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Fred had a rare and beautiful gift. From the moment you met him, he made you feel like family. His kindness knew no limits, his laughter was infectious, and his generosity was unmatched. If someone was hungry, he fed them before himself. If someone was cold, he gave the shirt off his back. If someone was in need, he gave without hesitation, even if it meant giving his last dollar. His heart was always open, and his compassion never wavered.
He will be remembered for his unmistakable, ear to ear smile and his ability to make a friend out of anyone he met. Fred never knew a stranger. Above all else, he loved his children with every part of his being. Though his time on this earth was far too short, his strength and determination to fight for every moment with them spoke volumes about the depth of his love.
Fred Allen Stokes Jr. leaves behind a life that was deeply felt, a love that will never fade, and a spirit that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him
