Isabel Frances Hinckley Brock, 95, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at a local assisted living facility. A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, Abilene.
Born October 25, 1917 in Stockton, California, Isabel attended the University of California at Berkley in 1940. She worked as a secretary, and in July 1943, she joined the United States Navy Wave program as Lieutenant Junior Grade and was honorably discharged in March of 1946.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Glenn Clark Brock on May 1, 1987; and a step-son, James Grover Brock who passed away three years ago.
Survivors include step-son, Leslie Edward Brock, of Pacific Grove, CA; grandson, Steven Edward Brock and wife, Rhonda of southern California; and great-granddaughter, Stephanie also of southern California.
