Jack Wyatt Henderson, 85, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, at a local medical center in Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013, at 5701 Hwy 277 South in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, with Gary Vest officiating. Burial will follow at the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery in Abilene. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jack was born December 04, 1927 to W.W. and Myrtle Henderson in Abilene and was a long-time resident of Abilene. He worked in the insurance industry for thirty years. He was employed with R.D. Batjer Claim Service and he was the founder of Breakfast on Beech Street.
Preceding him in death were his parents, W.W. and Myrtle Henderson; a sister, Betty Jane Brady; and a brother, Rob Henderson.
Survivors include a son, Sam Henderson and his wife Cathy of Lubbock; two daughters, Pam Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, Jan Vest and her husband Gary of Odessa, Texas; a brother, Jerry Henderson and his wife Jean of Edmond, Oklahoma; a sister, Patsy Kimbler of Charlotte, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
