

A memorial service will be held at Elmcrest Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2nd, with Pastor Burtis Williams officiating. Arrangements by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St.
Jack was born in Hodges, TX on October 18, 1934. He had one major hobby. Race cars. He went numerous times to the care races with his niece and nephew by marriage. He also enjoyed race car shows with his nephew and became his “Crew Chief”. Jack served in the United States Navy for four years then worked as a truck driver for several years. He enjoyed the family reunions, picnics, musicals and other family outings.
Jack is survived by a daughter, Valerie Vanne McCoy of Lubbock and one brother, Robert Cleston McCoy of Mineola. Jack had numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Laneigh McCoy; his parents, Luther Martin and Ona Mae McCoy; three brothers, Ervin Franklin McCoy, Lester Jefferson McCoy and Kenneth Earl McCoy, Sr.; and one sister, Dola Mae McCoy Sanderford.
He will be very much missed……….he always left saying, “Well, I’m glad you got to see me, take care”.
