

James A. Duffy, CCM, 69, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., today, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Frederick Nawarskas, Pastor, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with burial following in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
James was born on November 3, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri of Arthur James Duffy and Dorothy Ferrar. He married on August, 1 1970 to Maria Cristina Sartorius of Madrid, Spain. Mr. Duffy was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, Certified Club Manager, graduate of Trinity College with a Bachelors Degree in Science and graduate of Michigan State University Culinary Art School. He was also a member of the Roosevelt High School High Diving team, Club Managers Association of America and the Development Counsel at the Hendrick Home for Children. Mr. Duffy was a talented and passionate manager and leader in his work, community, and life. He loved to garden, play golf, travel, and raise many pets throughout the years. He was a kind, generous, happy, and outgoing person to everyone he encountered along the way. Through the years, he touched so many lives in a positive way. He is survived by his wife, Cristina Duffy; son, Brian Duffy of Austin; daughters, Monica Morris of Forest Hill, and Jacqueline Duffy of Dallas; and sister-in-law, Aurora Butz of Abilene; 2 grandchildren; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Calvin Kay; and mother, Dorothy Kay.
