She was born on May 1, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Walter Martin Hartley and Lillie Tharp Hartley.
Kathy was a good christian woman who loved her God and loved her family with all her might. She spent her life as a teacher and a diagnostician for special needs education. She lived her life with an open heart, open arms, and a nonjudgmental attitude. When family or friends needed someone to talk to she was always there to listen and gave solid advice when it was needed. In her spare time she loved to be with family, especially with her children and grandchildren, who were her heart. She was very knowledgeable and crafty, enjoyed scrapbooking and journaling, as well as crocheting, doing cross stitch, singing, and baking. Her family will cherish the many wonderful memories and think of her fondly whenever they see a cross or an angel.
Kathy is survived by her husband William Harvey Guinn Sr. of Abilene; her children: Lillie Davis and husband Anthony of Abilene, William Harvey Guinn Jr. and wife Monica of Fort Stewart, Georgia, and Amy Guinn and boyfriend Dustin Barnett of Abilene; her grandchildren: Isabelle Russell, Hope Guinn, Walter Guinn, Faith Guinn, and Leamon Guinn. Also surviving are her brothers: Scott Hartley of Wichita Kansas, Walter M Hartley Jr of Orange County, California, and Douglas Hartley of Abilene; as well as by several adopted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lillie Hartley, by several siblings, and by her son Martin L. Guinn.
