Lena Schwarz Kennedy Vaughan Farr, 95, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2016 in Warner Robins, GA at her daughter’s home under Homestead Hospice Care of Warner Robins, GA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m., on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene.
Lena was born on November 10, 1920 to the late Max J. Schwarz and Bertha Leota Brewer Schwarz in Roby, Texas. She is formally from Abilene, Texas and is a member of the Church of Christ. She retired from Timex, Inc. many years ago in Abilene, Texas.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her twin brothers, Austin Schwarz and O. E. (Doc) Schwarz; her sisters, Verna Schwarz Evans and Alice Schwarz Goddard; her son Terry Allen Kennedy, Sr.; and her husbands, M.L. Kennedy, L.B. Vaughan, and L.C. Farr. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Kennedy Goodrum of Warner Robins, GA; her sons, Royce J. Kennedy (Diana) of Port Orange, FL and Marlin L. Kennedy (Willie) of Abilene; her sister, Ruby Schwarz Hudson (Jack) of Garden Grove, CA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
