

Lloyd D. Jordan, 70, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at his residence in Abilene. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Anson, TX directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Lloyd was born on December 28, 1941 in Wichita Falls, TX to John Wesley and Bernice Walker Jordan. He was a truck driver by trade and retired from truck driving after 8 years with Bilbo Trucking. Lloyd was a Baptist.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Brenda Sue Jordan; brothers, Don Jordan and Gerald Jordan; and a son, Jimmy Jordan.
Survivors include four sons, Billy Jordan of Ft. Worth, Jerry Jordan of Abilene, Joe Jordan and wife, Michele of Ft. Worth and Roy Smith of Hawley; five daughters, Tracy Baskerville and husband, David of Arlington, Brandy Ussery and husband, Chad of Abilene, Reba Finch of Eastland, Renee Treadwell and Cindy Davis both of Abilene; a brother, Floyd Jordan of Glen Rose, TX; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 209 S. Danville, Suite B-107, Abilene, TX 79605.
