

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lucy was born April 23, 1916 to Josie (Perkins) and Joe Harry Levy in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended school. Lucy moved to Abilene, Texas from Atlanta in 1936. On October 17, 1937, Lucy married Sidney Loyd Roberts in Breckenridge, Texas. She enjoyed cooking and growing flowers. Lucy loved her family and her grandchildren were her life. She had a great time playing games. Lucy worked for a nursing home for two years; the Abilene Independent School District for five years; and worked in the University Baptist Church kitchen. She was a member of University Baptist Church and her faith was of the utmost importance to her.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Maude Miller and Mabel Levy; and one brother, James Levy.
Survivors include a son, Michael Roberts and wife, Linda, of Abilene; three daughters, Elaine Fraser of Abilene, Nellie Glover and husband, Pete, of Round Rock, Texas, and Susan Fielder and husband, Steve, of Abilene; six grandchildren, Christie Fraser, Wayland Fraser, Michael, Stacy, Steve, and Heather; and seven great-grandchildren.
