

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, with Reverend Bobby King officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and friends. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Alberta was born December 6, 1927 to Betty (German) and Arlander Cole in the Virgin Islands. She loved to play bingo, watch wrestling, and travel. Alberta was a retired Chef from Dyess Air Force Base Officers Club. She was a Catholic.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Lattimore, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Samuel R. Arnold; and a brother, Arlander Cole, Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Herbert E. Lattimore, Jr., Lt. Colonel {Retired} and wife, Edeltraud, of Hurricane, West Virginia, Joseph Donald Lattimore and Steven Lattimore, both of Abilene; three daughters, Stella Ann Hunter and husband, Hillard, of Altus, Oklahoma, Betty K. Jones and husband, James, of Abilene, and Angela Williams and husband, Rodney, of Grafenwoehr, Germany; a sister, Theresa Arnold of Gulf Port, Mississippi; oldest granddaughter, Toya Michelle Foreman and husband, Brett, and fourteen other grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
