

Marilyn M. Waldron, 84, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, at a local medical center. Graveside services are 3:00 p.m. Thursday in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born May 16, 1926 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Franklin and Maude (Larkin) Milton. She married Bill Waldron in Utica, NY on April 23, 1955. Bill preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1990. Marilyn had been an avid bowler within the Abilene area for over 40 years. She will be greatly missed by all her team and league members from Abilene Bowling Lanes. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and DAV.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Laverta Reynolds, a brother, Jerry Milton, and her daughter, Dorothy Wilson in 2007.
Survivors include her son, Ken Van Court of Arizona; two grandchildren, Jimmy Wilson and Michael Wilson (USMC) and wife, Michele; four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Michael Wilson Jr., and Nichole Albanese and husband, David (USN); one great-great-granddaughter, Mikayla Albanese; and her best friend, Bobbie.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
