Norman Robert Hailey

Robert was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Newman and Jewel (Bush) Hailey on January, 17 1931. He grew up in Woodson, Texas and joined ROTC while in high school. Robert then earned a business degree from Texas Tech University. After college he entered the Army and served as a first lieutenant until his discharge in 1956. He then went into business with his father and maintained that accounting firm for most of his life. On December 27,1957, Robert married Joyce Hope Harrell. They moved to Ft. Phantom Lake and enjoyed spending time boating, fishing, and entertaining friends and family. Robert was an avid entrepreneur. He was involved in real estate, oil and gas, and in the 1970's was vice president of D.B. Drilling Company. Throughout his many business pursuits he was frequently assisted by his wife Joyce. In recent years, he has greatly enjoyed his time spent playing poker with friends. He will be truly missed by both family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother Charles Hailey.

Robert is survived by son Norman Harrell Hailey, his brother Barry Lee Hailey, and niece and nephew Brooke and Levi Hailey.
