Patsy Ruth Sylvester

Patsy Ruth Sylvester, 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at her residence in Abilene. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Patsy was born on October 25, 1932 to Luke and Bessie Brown Wetsel in Abilene, TX. She attended public schools in Abilene and married Kenneth D. Sylvester on May 19, 1948. Patsy enjoyed bowling. She was very artistic; loving all arts and crafts and loved to paint. Patsy was a homemaker and a member of Broadview Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Kenneth Sylvester; and a sister, Juanita Dunn.

Survivors include two sons, Keith Sylvester of Abilene, and Lee Sylvester and wife, Judy of Eula; two daughters, Debby Miller and husband, Ken of Abilene and Angela Alexander and husband, Stephen also of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
