Robert was born to Robert and Amparo Simmons in Abilene, TX on December 1, 1981. He graduated from Abilene High School in 2002. He briefly worked at Grandy's and the video game store, Game Boys. He loved weapons and medieval lore, and also had a passion for animals, and has left behind his beloved canine friend, Carmel.
While his health issues kept him pretty much homebound, he loved to make others laugh, even at his own expense. Although he is no longer with us, we know that he would not want us to make his passing a somber occasion, because he was always up to something mischievous. Robert was the baby of the family and his passing will leave a void in our home and hearts.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Lupe Munoz; and his uncles, Johnny Rodriguez, Crescencio Sigala, and Marvin Henderson.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Amparo Simmons; brothers, David Simmons and partner, Ester Sanchez and her two children, Samantha Morgan and Chris Sanchez, and Paul Simmons and wife, Sally; a sister, Cheryl Alexander and husband, Gary; niece and nephew, Sarah Alexander and Lucas Alexander; uncle, Raymond Rodriguez; aunts, Sylvia Rodriguez, Florinda Sigala, Eusevia Henderson; and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers and cards, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
