Ronald Murphy Lewis

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd Street, with Pastor Andrew Penns officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday evening.

Ron was born April 4, 1965 in Abilene, TX in which he graduated from Abilene High School and attended Cisco Junior College and was also in the Army. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and loved playing with his grandkids.Ron was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and usher while he was their. Hobbies included jogging, yard work, handyman work, football and he was always helping everyone. He had worked in the oil field and was working at McDonalds.

Preceding him in death were his parents Melvin Lewis and Lena Mae Jones; his grandparents Milton and Annie Mae Jones; also his daughter Keishauel Lewis.

Survivors include his wife Donna Owens-Lewis; three daughters Tamesha Chambers of Irving, TX, Takeisha Lewis of Abilene and Victoria Baxter of Lancaster, TX; two sons Kortiney Lewis and Kobey Lewis of Denton, TX; sister Doris James of Abilene; brother Micheal Lewis of Sweetwater; granddaughters Hazel Lewis and Dashawn Lewis both of Dallas, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
