Sherman B. "Woody" Wood, age 83, passed away August 19, 2015. Woody was born in Winfield, Alabama December 21, 1931 to the late Columbus Leach and Eugenia (Burleson) Wood. He was retired from the US Air Force after 22 years. Woody then worked for the City of Abilene for 18 years and then owned and operated Woody's Bar for 18 years. Survivors include his children, Rebecca Ann Wood; Bruce Wood and wife Christine; Belinda Meritt and husband Mike; and Twylla Risinger and husband Kenny; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Mills and Ruth Thatehurst; and brother, Junior Wood.
