Virginia “Ginger” Ellen Parks-Tate, 26, lost her life in an automobile accident in Odessa, TX on September 8, 2012. She was born on March 17, 1986 in Abilene. Virginia was the daughter of Josh Parks and Karen Evans. She attended Jim Ned CISD schools in Tuscola.
Preceding her in death were her great-grandparents, Inman & Jesse Parks; and her grandparents, Bill Parks, Evelyn Bedford, and Joyce Dingler.
Survivors include her daughter, Meredith Tate of Abilene; her father, Josh Parks and wife, Tonya of Abilene; her mother, Karen Evans and husband, Milton of Abilene; her brother, Josh Parks II of Abilene; her step-brother, Damon Rose and wife, Abby of Abilene; her step-sister, Sara Borowicz of Indiana, and Nicole Barbieri, who she loved as a step-sister of Tuscola; her grandparents, Carl & Karen Dingler of Buffalo Gap; her great-grandmother, Alice Johnson of Arkansas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, one nephew, and one niece.
Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with burial following in Dewey Cemetery, Lawn TX. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Parks, Cody Parks, Jarred Parks, Jestin Parks, Jason Parks, and Clinton McClure.
