W.D. "Bill" Higgins

W.D. “Bill” Higgins, age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Bill was born August 1, 1924 in Salt Branch, Texas to the late William and Ida (Taylor) Higgins. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. He worked for Frank Nevans and later, along with another employee, bought Abilene Reproduction Company, where he continued for 47 years. Bill married Eudera Higgins in 1983. He was a member of Wylie Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sons, Rodney and Terry Higgins. Survivors include his wife, Eudera Higgins; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Bryan Allen of Midland and Sanda and Bob Warren of Ft. Worth; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Carolyn Webb of LaGrange; grandchildren, Tyler and Hillary Allen of Midland, Billy and Jennigale Webb of LaGrange, Virginia McElroy and husband Josh of Nevada and Margaret Warren of Ft. Worth; great grandchildren, Bradyn Nikolai of Midland and Nora and Finis McElroy of Nevada. Visitation will be held 5pm to 6:30pm Thursday, April 30th at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. Funeral Services will be 10am Friday, May 1st at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith with burial following in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
