Willie Perry Sr.

Willie F. Perry Sr., 78, of Merkel, TX passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Graveside services will be at 2:00p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 in Waco Memorial Park, Waco, TX under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, TX. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. at the funeral home in Abilene.

Willie was born on September 20, 1934 to Sam Fred and Mary Frances Smith Perry in Waco, TX. Mr. Perry grew up in the Waco area, but has lived in Abilene and the surrounding area since 1966. He was a boom operator in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Glenda of 41 years; and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, Willie Perry, Jr. of Merkel; a daughter, Belinda Perry of Merkel; two sisters; one brother; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
