

Wilma Eunice Harper Bigelow, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at a local nursing center. Graveside services will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Abilene City Cemetery, with Jonathan Krake officiating under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
Eunice was born on March 24, 1927 to Ira Oliver Harper, a farmer, and Josie Fene Harper, a housewife, on a farm near Claytonville, Texas in Fisher County. After graduating from Aspermont High School, she moved to Abilene, married, and began work at Masters Corp., where she remained for ten years. She then worked at Timex Corp., until she retired. Eunice was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Francis Bigelow; one older brother, Pat Harper of Hamlin; her parents; and her oldest son, James Kingrey of Perrin, Texas.
Survivors include an older brother, Lawrence Harper of Arlington; a younger sister, Pauline Moore of Gustine; a daughter, Patsy Rains of Abilene; a son, Steve Hoy of Huffman; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
