Franco was a most loving, tender and caring husband. He and Diane lived in Rome, Italy for the past 28 years before returning to Canada to be with family.
Francesco was pre-deceased by his mother, Rita Giorgino, his sister Anna Maria and his brother Fillipe. His father, Guglielmo Bellone went missing during the 1963 Algerian war and was presumed dead. Many of Francesco’s dearest friends departed with the same illness over the past few years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Diane and her family, Madeleine and Louis Bonnette, Mayor Richard Bonnette and his wife Josey, Robert Bonnette and his wife Inge, as well as their many treasured friends in the United Nations Family, Rome, Italy, world-wide and in Canada with whom he had shared a bond of friendship. Francesco was loved by all children and pets he encountered because of his special touch.
Diane will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home “Shoemaker Chapel”, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Thursday, August 7th from 7 to 9 p.m.
A private family mass will be conducted at St. Joseph, Patron of Canada Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. by Father Bob Bulbrook.
Remembrances to the Georgetown Hospital, Continuing Care Complex would be appreciated by the family.
