With profound sadness, John’s family announces his passing at the age of 88 on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Guelph General Hospital from complications following a car accident on January 1st. John was predeceased by his wife Wilma (1992). He is lovingly remembered by his sons David (Elyse) and Michael (Susan). He was a very caring and humorous grandfather to Melissa and Janice, and Laura and Eric. John will be missed by his sister Kay Pfaff, as well as many nieces and nephews and his many friends. The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton, on Sunday January 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends are invited to meet the family at Trinity United Church, 70 Mill Street East, Acton on Monday, January 10th at eleven o’clock where the funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Willy van Arragon. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
