Marcel Paul Poirier

Marcel will be greatly missed by his children, Madeline and Evan and their mother Leslie.

He is survived by sixteen siblings and his extended family in Nova Scotia.

Marcel worked in the nuclear industry for more than twenty years as an outstanding electrical engineer and leader in his field.

He was a beloved friend of many in Acton and a valued active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His warm and approachable nature endeared him to those in his life.

Family and friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Friday, February 21st from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

The Legion Tribute will be held at 6:45 p.m.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Marcel’s life on Saturday, February 22nd from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 197, 15 Wright Avenue, Acton.

The funeral service will be held in his hometown of Pictou, Nova Scotia.
