Raymond Edgar Atkinson

April 12, 1929 - July 6, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond

Edgar Atkinson on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Georgetown Hospital.

Ray was born in Hamilton, Ontario on April 12, 1929 to Leonard and Winifred (Mason) Atkinson. At an early age he moved to Acton, where he met Lila Ranney.

They married on June 28, 1952 and had five children; Steve (Myrna),

Lynne Abbott (Neil) and Ben (Michaelle), he was predeceased by

daughter Karen (2003) and son Tim (1997).

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Corey Atkinson,

Trevor, Matthew and Jodie Abbott, Patrick Shortill,

Lori Pickering and 7 great grandchildren.

Raymond was also predeceased by his father Leonard (1951), mother Winifred (1972),

brothers Lawrie (2008) and Tom (2010) and sisters Freda Bittner (1997)

and Evelyn Bludd (1997).

Friends will be received at the

MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton

on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel

on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 1 p.m.

Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
